Vision and Mission
‘In the power of the Holy Spirit, to experience and to live up the presence of the saving and the living God towards the union of love with God and to bring others to the same experience.’
Members of Holy Trinity Community must rely on the power of the Holy Spirit and open themselves to the experience of God’s presence. They have to delve into a deeper experience into the union of love with God. In the meantime, while walking in the direction of the perfection of love, Holy Trinity Community members are called to bring others to those same wonderful and life changing experiences.
History
HTC was formed on January 11, 1987 in a retreat in Ngadireso by Fr. Yohanes Indrakusuma, CSE, who is also the founder of the Congregation of the Daughters of Carmel and Carmelitae Sancti Eliae – CSE. It is called Holy Trinity Community so that the members may always remember the mystery of the great love of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, and strive to live up to it. HTC is determined to become the symbol of virtues that overcomes the world, the symbol of hope for the hopeless, the symbol of comfort to the grieving and suffering, and the guidance to the living God.
Community Purpose
We are invited to experience God’s love which surpasses all understanding. Our response to this Divine love is to truly live the main calling of all Christian that is to: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.” (Mark 12:30). As we love God, we want to love others as Jesus has loved us.
Being renewed and strengthened by the experience of God’s love, we are called to build a true kinship with our brothers and sisters (cp. Acts 2:41-42). Benevolence (Altruism/Kindliness/Compassion) has to inspire the life of the Community in such a way so that in unity other people will know that we are truly a disciple of Christ (cp. John 13:35).
The goals of the Community is to mould its members to be:
- True disciples of Christ who experience God intimately and put Jesus at the centre of their lives
- Faithful Catholics who trust in the Word of God, who are filled with the Holy Spirit and open to all of His works and gifts
- Living witnesses of Christ, whose life and works testifies the goodness of God
- Catholics who can responsibly defend their faith with wisdom and maturity
The Community also aim to educate and guide its members:
- To have the true spirit of evangelization.
- To serve in various forms of ministries under the guidance of local Bishops, according to the need of the Church and the charisms that God has given
- To be capable and competent in their own fields, so that the ministries will be truly useful for God’s people and can be accountable for
